Becky Black draws from two passions: inspired writings and water. The flow and richness, as well as the layered discoveries within the work, are enthralling. Layer upon layer of encaustic paint is applied to a wood canvas, torches are then used to blend and fuse the layers, creating a painting with natural depth, translucency and a patina finish.
